  1. Mark and Mary Alice, Thank you for all that you have done not only for me but for the community! I’m a 16 year old at Andover Central high school and going through high school has been some of the most challenging times! Your messages have brought so much peace to my life through the hardships of teenage years. I got baptized my freshman year of high school and since then have been dedicating my life to the Kingdom of God! I will never forget when Mark said that he would never trade any of the hard experiences he faced for any amount of money. There is no price or dollar amount that he would take over the learning opportunities God brought to him. I will never forget that. Without your light in my darkness I don’t know where I would be! I’m going into my Senior year and plan on becoming a therapist to help others. Mark and Mary Alice thank you for not giving up on the next generation. Thank you for believing in the loss and holding hope for the ones far gone because as you say no one is to far gone that God won’t run after! Thank you for all you have done I thank God for having such an amazing, Godly pastor!

  2. Pastor Mark and Mary Alice,
I have been a part of NewSpring for only 4 of your 40 years of ministry but I can truly say it’s been a very special time in my Christian journey – and there have been some high times before! But this season has brought about a deeper level of understanding through the teaching and authenticity which both of you offer. Of special significance to me is your support (yea encouragement) of diversity of message and worship. I tell my friends that NewSpring reminds me of what heaven will be like – where every one (regardless of race or color) who believes on His Name is welcome and represented. May God continue to richly bless your ministry.

  3. Pastor Mark & Mary Alice: Congratulations on 40 Blessed Years!
I just want to thank you for being here for me through one of the darkest moments in my life. I truly do not know how I would have made it without this church, attending every week, getting my soul fed. That was 16 years ago & here I am still hanging on every message. You make things so relatable and easy to understand, keeping the congregation engaged and excited to not only hear more (even if it is in overtime-hee hee) but also invite others to come hear the word with them. When you started out I bet you probably had no idea where the trajectory of that move from Texas to the Sunflower State would take you. THIS is what you were being called to do. I know you’ve told us you’ve had some seasons of doubt, wondering if you were taking the church in the direction he wanted, but just look around you – look what God has done through you. NewSpring is a blessing to so many including myself. Thank you for staying the course & following where the Lord led you. Mary Alice thank you for loving our pastor, for supporting him, praying for him & most of all sharing him with all of us. Thank you for all you too have done for this ministry & our church. You are both instruments of God, spreading his love & message to many. You are EXACTLY where he wanted you to be & I am so grateful for that! God Bless You Both & Congrats Faithful Servants on a job well done. All of your NewSpring family loves you!

  8. Thank you for your dedication to preaching the love of Jesus. I grew up in what I call a mosh pit of religion. As a child, my family attended a Southern Baptist church on Wednesdays and Sundays, a Messianic congregation on Shabbot, and I was enrolled in a private Mennonite school. I knew about a relationship with Jesus, but the rules of the various religious institutions were always paramount. After misconduct by an authority figure, I no longer believed that Jesus could want me. For over 25 years I bounced between trying desperately to earn the love of Jesus, and trying to convince myself that there was no loving God, because if I could believe that, then I no longer needed to try to earn His favor. But, God!!! During a 9 year stretch of trying to prove myself worthy, I took my children to church every Sunday and enrolled them in Christian school. 4 years after I pulled them from those environments, my oldest daughter begged me to take her back to church. I didnt want to and even if I had, I didnt know where to take her because we were new to the Wichita area. However, that same week, a co-worker invited me to New Spring. I remember saying I’d never step foot in another church. That was summer of 2023. By fall, I was bringing my daughter to NewSpring every week. I would sit with my arms crossed, sometimes with earbuds in listening to other podcasts or music during the service. I decided that if nothing else, I was getting an hour of “me” time, away from my other children, and away from my responsibilities. For 7 months, I came to NewSpring. And for 7 months I mocked the masses who were showing up, believing that they had all bought into a lie that made them feel like they had purpose. However, in March 2024, I was confronted with The Authentic Jesus. I cannot blame my lifetime of rebellion on a godless man, but hearing that godless men distort the truth of Jesus for their own gain, allowed me to melt into the arms of the Savior who had been pursuing me my entire life. In that moment I knew He never expected perfection, He only ever wanted relationship. In the last 15 months, I have been blessed to witness 5 of my 6 children come into a saving relationship with Jesus. I know you will never know on this side of heaven the enormous impact you’ve had for Christ’s Kingdom, but I do know that my family will be together there because you followed the prompting of the Holy Spirit. “Thank you” could never be enough.

  9. Thank you both for your endless giving of yourselves to NewSpring Church! Your messages are great teachings of the Bible. The Lord speaks through you to share with all of us to understand what it is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  10. You both have been such an encouragement and blessing to me through the years. Thank you especially for all of the Noah’s Window daily devotions. They were so uplifting during my cancer treatment and recovery from the radical tumor removal surgery. It was the lowest valley I have ever been in and I was able to stay connected to our church and feel uplifted by that ministry. May God continue to bless you both!

  11. Dear Pastor Mark and Mary Alice, thank you for all of your wonderful service here at New Spring! I have spend hours going through old sermons trying to answer all my questions about the Bible and have learned so much from your teaching, your faithfulness, and ministry within this church. Your work in my life has pushed me to take steps in my faith beyond what I ever imagined myself pursuing. I cannot wait for the years to come and see the life within this church grow! Thank you for all that you have done, and happy 40 years!

  12. Dear Mark and Mary Alice, THANK YOU!! I am so grateful that I have been able to grow up in such an amazing church! Every weekend I can feel the immense love poured out by you two and your staff and I truly believe that my faith would not be where it’s at if I had not grown on the foundation that KidzWorld, the Wire, and THRIVE have built!!! I am so proud that I get to serve and represent such and amazing church, but, more importantly, such an amazing God who has undoubtedly blessed this church through you!! Much love from a NewSpring student, 🩵

  17. I think your friend said it the best….

That he believed God talks to us through you. And I believe that also. I grew up Catholic and while I love several things about the church, I also didn’t have much understanding of what God was saying to me. Many times I wasn’t sure what if anything I got out of the homily and then I tried reading the Bible, but quit very quickly because I didn’t understand it.

Then, I was going through a difficult season and for reasons I’m not quite certain, I stopped here one day….. I had been mad at God for a few months and had a lot of questions. When I walked in and sat down at the very top row first seat; I told God I’m here, now what? I looked up and around and
on your walls it said “Come as you are “…….fast forward. I have a relationship with Jesus and have surrendered my life to Him. I’m so thankful to Jesus for everything but especially that He died on a cross for me, forgives my sins and for saving me and all who believe.

Thank you Pastor Mark for listening to the Most High and sharing your gifts with us by being a vessel of His word. I’m also thankful to Mary Alice that she has been given the strength and grace to be the silent partner whose faith has been unwavering. Thank you for being our guiding light and my prayer to you both.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord turn his face toward you both and give you peace.”

  18. Thank you for your dedication & love for the Lord. Words are not enough. I look forward to coming to church every week. Such an uplifting & true Bible teaching. The worship is fabulous also. I really miss Noah’s Window but I do understand things change. I miss our mornings together- felt like we were having coffee & study together at my table. Thank you for those years. I only regret I didn’t join sooner.
Book by book is sooooo good!! Your interaction between you two is so supportive & encouraging. Thank you, Mary Alice- & of course your “assistant”. 🥰
Thank you Pastor Mark for true relevant Biblical teaching. You speak God’s word even on difficult subjects.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  19. Mark and Mary Alice thank you! For your faith, obedience, leadership, love, walking your purpose and giving us all so much hope! It’s an honor and a blessing to watch the life of NewSpring be all that it is to many. God put so many amazing people in your lives to walk this journey and you stayed the course through good, bad and ugly! I personally have experienced the glory of Starting Point, Next, Watermark, Grief Share, Through This Valley, Thrive, Book by Book and I can’t express my gratitude of how much all of those ministries have enhanced my life. So thank you for the joy of walking this journey with your family at NewSpring! Happy Anniversary and God bless! 🙏❤️✝️🌸

  20. Dear Pastor Mark and Mary Alice ,

I remember when I first began coming to Newspring and the utter amazement I had when Mary Alice was the first person to walk into the room to talk to our small class about Jesus. What dedication for her to be that first real connection for a newbie. It was that very moment , Newspring never felt “Too Big” to feel at home here. I want to take a moment to thank both of you from the depths of my heart. Your ministry has been a powerful testimony of faith, love, and unwavering dedication to God’s Word.

Through your example and teachings you have laid a deep and lasting foundation in my heart for what it truly means to walk with Jesus. You’ve shown me that a relationship with Christ isn’t just about religion, but about grace, truth, and daily surrender. Thank you for teaching me so I could be an example for my children as I raised them. Thank you for helping us build our lives on solid rock.

As a single mom, I especially want to thank you for pointing me toward the cross when life felt heavy and for reminding me of God’s promises when my faith was weak. Because of your example of faithfulness, I know Jesus more intimately and trust Him more deeply than ever.

May God continue to bless you and pour into your life as richly as you have poured into mine. Thank you.

  24. I’m so Grateful God Led me to NewSpring. Years ago when I moved back to Kansas I was looking for a church that had a later time on Sunday’s and I visited three or four churches. The first service I heard at NewSpring was from Jonathan and it impacted me and I realized I needed to come back. From the messages Mark brought to an awesome bible study I was in with Mary Alice, to being able to serve and volunteer to my NS groups.
I’m so Grateful for my church and Grateful I am able to be part of such a wonderful community.. church.
I honestly wouldn’t be part of NewSpring if it wasn’t for Mark and Mary Alice. For the whole family and the whole church and what they represent. I know it’s not about the people completely.. But, we have to be willing to be used. It’s a Choice.
That is why I truly Love them.
Mark and Mary Alice and their kids and wives and family. I’m just Grateful God stumbled me to such a Great people and place. I Love them and the Church
